New Graduate Student Orientation

Graduate Studies hosts an annual New Graduate Student Orientation (NGSO) session at the beginning of each fall semester. This is a voluntary event and does not replace the required international student orientation or any department-specific orientations.

NGSO-2013 is Saturday, August 24th, 2013!

NGSO provides important information regarding on-campus services and opportunities available to graduate students. You also get an opportunity to:

  • Network with new and experienced graduate students across disciplines
  • Meet graduate staff and faculty
  • Get the inside scoop on life as a grad student
  • Learn more about available fellowships, loans, and budgeting to help finance your education
  • Tour the UT Arlington campus

After NGSO, adjourn to a popular local spot TBA and grab dinner and drinks with fellow newbies complements of the Graduate Student Senate!

Orientation is followed by an optional Campus Tour and Graduate Student Social.

Most events take place in the E. H. Hereford University Center (UC.)
