Mexican Pilot Program
Mexican students who are approved for the Mexican Pilot Program at UT Arlington may pay the Texas resident tuition rate. Approval for the program is based upon the following criteria:
- You must be a citizen or permanent resident of Mexico who resides in Mexico and who plans to return to Mexico to live immediately after finishing your education.
- You must meet the admission requirements of UT Arlington
- You must show financial need and an inability to pay the non-resident portion of tuition
- You must enroll as a full-time student (nine semester credit hours for graduate students.)
If you qualify, please include a Mexican Pilot Program Application form along with your International Application form so that it may be considered during your application process. You may request a copy of the application from the International Office. If you wait until after enrolling, you must prove a that you have a financial need that was unknown at the time of admission.
Institutions not on the border with Mexico, such as UT Arlington, are limited in the number of students they can enroll through this program. UT Arlington can enroll no more than two eligible Mexican students per every thousand students of total enrollment per term. At this time, UT Arlington is able to enroll about 38-40 Mexican students per term through this program.
