Undergraduates
The UT Arlington LSAMP Campus Director is Professor Tuncay Aktosun, who selects the mentors and mentees conducting research on our campus through LSAMP funding. The program typically supports four qualified undergraduate students in the fall and spring semesters, who perform research under supervision of qualified UT Arlington faculty. These students must present their research findings at different UT System LSAMP conferences, the March ACES symposium, and the annual SACNAS National Conference. They are also encouraged to present their work at conferences in their own fields. In the summer, qualified undergraduate students can participate in the LSAMP Summer Research Academy at any of the alliance campuses.
